I can’t imagine how I would react to something like this.

I’m working on a site re-design, so I won’t be posting until that’s done. 

I was listening to the radio this morning, and they were interviewing people about the presidential race…There are a lot of ignorant people up here…time to kill them all, so we can un-pollute the system.

I’ve been trying to get my VA DL for the last few days.  I finally got all the correct paperwork together, got through the screening, and as I was waiting for my picture to be taken, I find out that the State of North Carolina has a hold on me getting a Drivers License.  Why is that you ask.  Because 9 years ago, I got a ticket there, paid the fine, but apparently never paid the  undocumented $50.00 restoration charge that goes along with the fine.  72.23 later, there is a check via fedex on it’s way to the payment center.  Hopefully they process it tomorrow or Friday morning.

The Second Tuesday of every month…most people don’t care about this day.  I hate this day.  I’m responsible for reporting patch status for our sector of the companies servers.  It sucks to be blunt about it.  Not only do I have to test all the patches, and patch my own servers…but i have to make sure adults do their job and patch their own servers as well…and to be honest…they usually don’t.  Oh well, at least the week is over, we hit 95% on our patch deployment.  Now to decompress over the weekend, and get back to normal next week.

Playing paintball always messes up the next few days for me…I use a lot of energy playing, and end up kind of sapped for the next day or so, so I haven’t done nearly the amount of studying or anything else I should have been lately…but at least I keep trying to get stuff done, and I’m making some progress, just slower that I would prefer.

So, once a week or so, the guys and I go to the local paintball store to catch up on things, and pick up any supplies we might need.  This is especially true the Friday before we are going to play.  Apparently this qualifies as a date in the minds of some people.  What do you all think…is going to lunch and a store between grown men count as a date?

For one of the projects that has been percolating through my head over the last 6 months or so, I’ve been considering using RoR…mostly because it’s supposed to be an easy to use application framework.  However, everything I’ve read has pointed to a lot of negative things about it.  This post was kind of the straw that finally broke the camel’s back.  Just thought I’d share it with you guys.
